Jailed Rapper Remy Ma Plans Wedding With Fiance Behind Bars

Rapper Remy Ma (real name Reminisce Smith), who was recently convicted of 4 felony charges stemming from a shooting incident in NYC last year, is planning to marry her fiance and fellow rapper Papoose in a ceremony at New York's Rikers Island Jail.

The Grammy nominated, 26 year old rapper is being held on Riker's Island until her sentencing date in court on April 23rd, where she is facing a maximum of 25 years in prison.

Papoose (real name Shamele Mackie) was featured rapping on the 2006 summer hit Crowded by up and coming latin recording artist Jeannie Ortega. Papoose and Remy are said to be "very much in love" in a statement released by Remy's attorney.
