So it seems that the rumors were true after all.
Jay-Z and
Beyonce appear to have wed on Friday Night at Jay-Z's multi-million dollar penthouse on Hudson Street at Desbrosses and Vestry Street in the TriBeCa section of Lower Manhattan.
I rushed over with my camera as soon as I heard the rumors (after all, I don't live far from there).

ColdPlay arrived (trying to cover their faces) to a media frenzy. Oscar winner
Forest Whitaker showed up.
Kelly Rowland and
Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child showed up hiding behind umbrellas to shield themselves from the paparazzi crush.
A fight between two photographers on the scene almost escalated to full-force mayhem when they began a push and shove match to get Gwyneth Paltrow's picture upon the actress' entrance into the luxury building where the event was being held.
Also in attendance were Gloria Carter (mother of Jay-Z) and Tina and Mathew Knowles (parents of Beyonce).
The event was rumored to be a celebration for Jay-Z's newly inked $150 million dollar deal with Live Nation, but quickly turned toward the idea that it was a wedding when guest arrived dressed impeccably and parents of both artists arrived, flowers were delivered, etc.
