StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-The Honourable Jim Karygiannis, Member of Parliament for Scarborough-Agincourt, and Liberal Critic for Multiculturalism, today convened a successful multicultural/community stakeholder forum in the GTA.
“This was an important opportunity for representatives of several multicultural groups and community organizations to discuss their work and the challenges they face in delivering programs and services.” said Mr. Karygiannis. “My colleagues and I examined, with these concerned Canadians, issues with respect to the future of Canada and its global responsibilities.”
This is the third forum in a continuing series that Mr. Karygiannis will be facilitating across the country in the coming months.
“As we move forward as a country, it is important that we create an environment where all communities live in harmony.” Mr. Karygiannis stated. “Many times, people feel left out, unable to voice their concerns and, therefore, they are not at the table and part of the decisions being made.”
Similar outreach forums are planned for the Golden Horseshoe and other regions of Ontario in the New Year.
